Every Monday between 22 December and 9 March, I invite you to join me at 8 p.m. for a special evening hike: equipped with snowshoes and headlamps, we will set off into the silent winter landscape of Niederau. As soon as the snow crunches underfoot – or gives way almost silently in the powder snow – a special atmosphere is created. With a little luck, the glowing eyes of deer or foxes will be reflected in the light of the headlamps. What is certain, however, are the sweeping views of the village illuminated in the evening – a peaceful, atmospheric end to an active winter’s day in the Wildschönau.
